You've done it again -- sent me racing to buy another book. Bakke's approach to decision making sounds a lot like shared governance as practiced within higher education. If that's the case (I'll know after I read the book), this could be a great resource for easing board members for whom shared governance makes no sense, into an appreciation for shared governance.
